This photo was part of my final piece for my level 3 photography college course, and by far my favourite picture I’ve taken yet. I love the colours, the contrast in highlights and shadows creating depth and a moody atmosphere. The lines and shapes of my model and her wig leads you in through the red background to her face, where she releases a rush of emotion. The red theme to this photo stirs up this emotion by making the models flushed cheeks and lips more distinguished, as if she’s taking in a deep breath ready to release whatever feelings have built up inside.
